WHAT'S NOT COVERED?
Yes, there are some really big gaps in Medicare that does expose you financially. Medicare doesn't cover everything. For example, Medicare does not cover personal care, dental, or vision and hearing exams. And Medicare is not free. You may need to pay out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, and coinsurance amounts. You may be able to get health coverage that pays these costs. It fills in the gaps in Medicare coverage. This type of insurance is called Medigap or supplemental insurance. Please be aware that even if Medicare covers a service or item, you generally have to pay deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments that add to your total health care costs. Depending on the type of supplemental insurance offered, these additional costs (deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments) may be 100% covered.

This is where we shine. We provide you with access to real-time online supplement quotes, so you can see quotes based on your age and zip code by insurance provider and costs and access to our experts who can provide additional help in the selection of the plan that best meets your individual needs. And unlike your last insurance agent who worked for a big name insurance company or one of the smaller so-called "Independent Insurance Agencies", that only offer their company's products or a small group of products from a hand full of insurance companies that have been selected for the agent to sell. We make it our business to carry all insurance providers that offer real value to our clients. We're one of the few "real" independents, so you get the best protection at the lowest price if the insurance is similar. And we do all the work for you.
That's why it pays to work with MisterMedicare™. We carefully select the insurance companies we represent for their rates, the robust portfolio of their products, and their responsiveness to paying claims. By representing competing insurance companies, we have choices, which in turn, means you have more choices. Our insurance companies have to earn our recommendation. This forces them to work harder for your business. And competition can save you money, provide broader coverage, and deliver more value for your hard earned money. It also allows us to customize a health care plan specifically tailored around your personal needs and financial situation. You see, if a tailor only sells one-size-fits-all jackets, all you can get there is a one-size-fits-all jacket. But you just might be better off with a jacket that fits you, not anybody else. It may fit better. It may also keep you warmer.
We strive to build long-term relationships with our clients, providing you with competent financial advice, semi-annual policy reviews, and recommendations that match your changing needs over time. If Company A no longer fits your needs? We can move your contract to Company B. If Company C is offering better rates? We can set you up with Company C to take advantage better pricing for the same coverage.
And the best part? After you coverage is in place, we take the extra step to insure that you apply for all the benefits that you are entitled to under current laws and regulations! Even if you already know the ins and outs of Medicare and Social Security and other government programs in your area, are you aware of the many supplemental plans provided by private companies that may give you coverage and income beyond what the government provides?
Your MisterMedicare Checkup™ can help you determine if you may be eligible for benefits from programs that may assist you with your expenses. Our goal is to help you get all the benefits that you are eligible for and assist you in determining the value of any supplemental plans that may minimize your personal risk and/or increase your access to cash when needed.
Medicare and Social Security work together to form a safety net for American workers and their families who are either to old to work or unable to work because of illness, injury, or disability. Medicare and Social Security are different sides of the same coin, Medicare provides health care and Social Security provides income. Together, these two major government programs provide much needed benefits to the poorest of Medicare beneficiaries and additional benefits to the wealthy. Add the many supplemental plans provided by private companies at little or no cost that may give additional coverage and income beyond what the government provides and even the wealthiest of Medicare beneficiaries would be wise to check their current benefits. Yet, few Medicare beneficiaries whether wealthy or poor know of these programs.
Special Attention If Seeking A Medigap Plan: If a tailor only sells one-size-fits-all jackets, all you can get there is a one-size-fits-all jacket. But you just might be better off with a jacket that fits you, not anybody else. It may fit better. It may also keep you warmer. This is the approach we use with every client, and it allows us to customize a health care plan specifically tailored around your personal needs and financial situation. You see, while all Medigap plans come in "standardized" packages lettered A-N and by law must offer the same basic benefits, it may appear that you should just buy the cheapest. Buying the cheapest Medigap policy many times is the best approach, but are you aware that while all Mediga policies offer the basic benefits based on their letter type (letters A-N), some offer additional benefits. In addition, you need to be aware of the three company pricing methods which will affect your costs. Medigap policies are usually sold as either "attained-age" policies, which are premiums that start low but rise every year as you get older. "Issue-age" policies, which only increase prices because of inflation, not because of your age (these policies may start out a little
more expensive than attained-age policies but may save you money in the long run). And "community-rate" policies, which are where everyone in an area is charged the same premium regardless of age. And these are only a few of the details you need to consider when selecting a Medigap plan and an excellent reason to request a free MisterMedicare Checkup™.
